This item is also good if you're building Youmuu's Ghostblade to have it up faster. ★ You can always surprise enemies with your Flash being up faster than theirs (if you guys flashed at the same time). ★ If you took a very bad trade and you have to back, Future's Market can help you get dirk! Note: Future's Market can be good, however, you want to use it for important items like legendaries/mythics instead of potions and control wards. Broken rune to take if you're going the First Strike setup. ★ You can save 300 gold and gain 15 movement speed for free. IF, you feel like you can land EVERY single Q AND your combo, then First Strike can be good (this is why I can't take this rune since I know I'll miss a **** ton of Qs)! ★ This is still very early and taking this rune is very situational and very troll at the same time. If you're looking to roam alot, Relentless Hunter will be your friend. ★ You get your ultimate up faster for more 1 v 1s. Take Cut Down if enemies are mostly tanks. ★ Since you'll be heavy trading in lane, you'll probably be low health. Legend: Tenacity also works if you're up against heavy CC like Galio, Zoe, LeBlanc, etc. Faster attack speed = more damage output for your extended trades. Triumph would work if you believe it can save you from a 1 v 2 fight. ★ In my opinion, it's just really necessary to take Presence of Mind as you can spam abilties and get faster energy regen from the extended trades. The difference between Electrocute and Conqueror setup in the early game is that once you've used W+E+Q on the enemy, you can actually swap back to your shadow and take an extended traded more effectively. I usually take Conqueror against Yasuo, Yone, Sylas, Galio, etc.

★ Conqueror feels really nice when you're most likely taking extended trades. So I like to take Gathering Storm just in case if my game goes past 30 minutes to ensure a higher chance of winning the late game. ★ I mean you can opt in for Scorch, but I feel like the games are taking much longer as less people are afk'ing (they may still troll, but it takes longer for the game to end) and tankier items are present. Bottom line, Transcendence is really good on Zed. This isn't required for Zed as everything in the secondary tree comes down to personal preference. You're Living Shadow comes right up after you use it and it feels really good. ★ The amount of ability haste it provides for your non-ultimate abilities at level 11+ is insane. If you like building Youmuu's Ghostblade then you can take Ultimate Hunter for lower ult CD.
#Zed build 6.15 Patch#
★ As of Patch 10.25, I really don't like building ghostblade when Relentless Hunter gives faster movespeed when you're out of combat. (Just a reminder, if you went for Conqueror, make sure to check my provided rune page above!) This depends on personal preference, whether you want to have alittle more vision or just more raw damage as you stack up Eyeball Collection. ★ You can either take Ghost Poro or Eyeball Collection. However, if you're against an easy match up with no heavy poke/immobile champs, taking Sudden Impact would be the better choice. Taste of Blood is great for better laning phase (if you're going against Syndra or heavy poke champs) and better sustain.

★ You can take Taste of Blood or Sudden Impact for this tree.

However, if you're going up against 2+ tanks ( Amumu, Maokai, Sett, Hecarim) or if y'all are full ad, I would take Conqueror.
#Zed build 6.15 update#
If you're going the domination tree as primary, I would take Electrocute 100% of the time (unless there's an update in the future). Zed's main combo (W+E+Q) easily procs Electrocute and helps out with laning phase. ★ Zed synergies greatly with Electrocute.
